Anti-Aging Skin Care Products: The Evolution

More than the last 10 years more attention is paid to the anti-aging pores and skin care. Developments within this category were influenced by such factors as competition among the list of major brands, introduction of new technologies and new ingredients, as well as worldwide embrace demand for the so-called “rejuvenating cosmetics”. People have no motives of putting up with aging. Today they are turning to alternative solutions and anti aging products; however, they will not spend money on products which do not produce the wished results. best anti aging skin care products

First of all anti aging skincare came out during the late nineteen eighties. The first liposome element delivery system was part of first generation anti-aging skin care.

David Jago, a specialist in the market analysis for MINTEL, measures the changes, which have occurred since then: “At present, the special properties, ingredients and benefits associated with the products are evidently shown on the label. Back again in the 1980s, it was only said that those products were toning, softening the skin, lowering lines etc., but their functional ingredients were usually not disclosed. Today’s press often informs us of specific ingredients and their benefits, thus adding to the consumers’ education”. Because of this, there appeared a group of skin attention products intended for specific age ranges or needs. Usually, women aim at making their aging pores and skin look younger, or their young skin – better.

In the beginning of 1990s, many anti increasing age skin care ingredients have been studied. The main of those, Alpha Hydroxyl Stomach acids (AHA), became the first ingredients to affect the aging skin. Sally Penford, of the International Skin Institute, a postgraduate training school for therapists, feedback: “It stimulated women to get started on considering cosmetic surgery, glycolic acid peels and lazer skin treatments”.

Another “great revolution” in anti increasing age skin care has recently been in conditions, C and E vitamins, as well as group B nutritional vitamins and main fatty stomach acids – they all have a special role of agents protecting against premature ageing. Obviously they do not make miracles, but can support the good condition of the skin. Since skin ages and is repeatedly exposed to dangerous UV rays, the degree of nutritional A, produced in the entire body, constantly decreases. The pores and skin renewal processes slow down and the epidermal level becomes progressively thinner. Several of the research of the ingredients, such as vitamin C, was placed in 1990s. Further, experts determined two key chemical substance “helpers” to help in the delivery of vitamin C through skin.

The supplements derived from it led pre lit to the development of anti aging skincare, that contains vitamin C and products, which contained a blend of vitamin C and natural Retinol (until recently, it has been extremely hard to incorporate both Vitamin an and vitamin C collectively in a well balanced formulation, as both ingredients are easily oxidized, when confronted with the air, and become inactive). In 1990s this type of skincare was already produced all over the world.

Further on, a great deal of interest in the anti-oxidants has been shown. A whole lot of studies have recently been done which show that protecting the skin can delay the onset of aging. The SUVIMAX studies in France showed that the use of anti-oxidants on the skin slows down down aging. It is also possible to reduce lines and improve skin area firmness.

Benefits of anti-oxidants were detected in grape seeds extracts. After that, cosmetic companies started using these benefits in their skin care products. Grape polyphenols are natural chemical substances created from green grape seeds extract which have recently been shown to have an excellent anti-oxidant effect. They protect the skin from the aggression of a variety of free radicals and are known to maintain the skin’s moisture levels.
